AOC Juliénas
The AOC Juliénas is part of the 10 Beaujolais wines. The surface of the appellation is 600 ha on schist and granite soil. Made from Gamay grape with white juice, it reveals aromas of fresh red fruit (cherry). The palate is refined and firmly tannic and has a great harmony. The name “Vayolette” comes from the locality where the vineyards are located. This is one of the best hillsides of the AOC Juliénas. This wine is made from vines aged between 45 and 70 years. Whole grapes are vinified in vats using the traditional Beaujolais winemaking method called “semi-carbonique” for about 14 days. -Rewards : Médaille d'or concourt des grands vins du Beaujolais 2016 et des grands vins de France à Macon 2016 (millésime 2015).
